Ateco’s Governing Director, Neville Crichton very pleased to be re-entering the commercial vehicle market

Ateco Automotive is to take over importation and distribution of Foton light and medium trucks in Australian and New Zealand from November 1, 2012. A revamped model line-up will be available in early 2013 with pricing, specification and further details to be announced closer to that time.

Ateco’s Governing Director, Neville Crichton, said he was very pleased to be re-entering the commercial vehicle market. “We have enjoyed great success in this country over the past few years with Chinese made utilities and SUVs, and I think the time is now right for us to press ahead and enter other market segments with well-equipped and very competitively priced Chinese products.”

Foton was founded in 1996 and has since produced in excess of five million vehicles, demonstrating exceptionally rapid growth. Foton has been the number one-ranked commercial vehicle manufacturer in China for almost a decade and now ranks as the largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in the world.
