I wrote it “makes me laugh how Truckies complain” because it does

Recently an article was read out to me on SYD07 from a Magazine that a Truck Driver was complaining about people time and time again interfering with his conversations on channels 35 to 38

And I have explained it to many of Truck Drivers over the year from some only to be abused me with foul language and others are very nice and come to channel 7 as they enjoy the conversation and participate.

What I don’t understand is how can people operate their CB Radios and not understand the rules however they all understand what Channel 40 is don’t they, however when it comes to interfering with the Repeaters or the Emergency Channel they don’t know

So if a Truck runs off the road, “don’t they even know they can call for help on Channel 5″ like this is a very important piece of information for them to know “don’t you think”

There are many People that give up their spare time to “stand by” to report any emergencies and they do save many lives. However how many have been lost because of interference from a Truck Driver having a chat on the INPUT Channel 35 ?

I think every Truck Drive should have instructions given to them with clear understanding don’t YOU think ?

And maybe they should take the time to listen, because it may just save a life !

You have a fair point, however maybe don’t start it with, “it makes me laugh how truckies complain” !!!
Your publishing an article in a truckie paper, and open with an insult, then wonder why some wont listen to you….

It is true!! Day upon day we get the same thing happening. We often ask nicely and explain that channels 31 to 38 are channels that are inputs but sometimes you get the cowboy that doesn’t care.
