Hino... helping Australia's truck transport grow

The Australian Truck Transport Industry is growing at a healthy rate, according to a recent published survey by the Australian Trucking Association, Truck Week 21/27 Feb 2010 showing Australian people are heavily reliant upon road transport freight.

The trucking industry carries ¾ of Australia’s domestic freight and the future looks bright with a predicted doubling of road freight up to 2030 with a 3.8% annual growth rate from 2011-2016.

The majority of road transport freight is moved intrastate with an expected high growth rate on the shorter interstate corridors like Sydney-Melbourne and Sydney-Brisbane.
Truck Transport segments:
1)      Short distance road freight… 55.8%
2)      Long distance intrastate… 22.8%
3)      Long distance interstate…21.4%
It all looks good for the truck transport road freight in Australia.

Show organisers are delighted to announce that Hino Australia has again thrown their full support behind the ITTE Show by confirming their attendance at the upcoming event being held in Melbourne next March 2010.

Hino, who were extremely strong supporters at the inaugural 2008 event, has again underlined their ongoing commitment to the transport industry by securing their space on the coveted Town Square Lawn area. This represents a key change for Hino when comparing it to the Show Pavilion, which they exhibited from at the last ITTE Show.
The decision to move was made by Hino management after giving strong consideration to a number of different options and evaluating how they could make the show work best for them and their customers. “We want to be in a central location to guarantee that all visitors attending the show have the opportunity of seeing the quality of our trucks and the impressive product range available from Hino,” said Hino Marketing Manager, Paul Tuffy.

The Town Square Lawn will certainly be one of the main gathering points at the show due to its central location and Hino’s presence is sure to enhance its popularity. It is also adjacent to the new moving equipment display area that has been hugely popular with exhibitors and is certain to be an additional draw card for visitors.
Hino sees the ITTE Show as the premier event on next year’s transport industry events calendar. They also see the event as a means of reinforcing their support to both their Melbourne based dealers and to their valued client base.
“We know how important the show is to our dealer network but it also provides us with the opportunity to communicate one to one with our clients, ensuring that we are constantly in tune with their ongoing needs in the ever changing market place that is transport,” said Paul.
